God tempers his children with trials of varying degrees. I term this process, "A purification of the heart by trials." Can you convince a believer that trials are for his benefit? God spoke concerning the children of Israel that His leading them through the wilderness for forty years, humbling them, and suffering them to hunger was to prove to them what was in their hearts. Jeremiah, the prophet, said the heart is deceitful above all things being desperately wicked.
